Fantastic-very encouraging-thanks Van,thanks Roy!.
A couple of things particularly stood out and were meaningful to me…
As a young insecure tech person in a church I found out that I had, as I saw it, just one talent in life, and that was tech. That became my identity.
I quickly thought then, sort of along the lines that you speaking of, that God loved me only because I was “Paul the church sound guy” who had proved he was good at this and had used it to serve the body so he was ok in God’s eyes…until a good mentor pointed out to me that this was wrong, God loves me simply because I am “Paul”…and that’s it!.It’s not what I have done.
I hope everyone can see the difference…it’s very special.
Also, the words you said pertaining to be something like “technically brilliant/spiritually mature” contains enough food for thought to keep me thinking for a while!…
Thanks again…really great stuff!
