If you ever need a tool to help with audio cues during a production, Qlab could be that tool.  I use it for all audio cues including solo tracks.  This is the swiss army knife of audio playback and best of all there is a very usable FREE version.

Gear Used:

  • Reaper 3.75 Mac 64bit
  • Blue Snowball USB Mic
  • Shure SRH840 Headphones

The PC equivalent of QLab is SFX

QLab has a rental license for very cheep if you need more channels of audio, video, and midi control.

      here are some good tutorials.

and for further help there is an online community here.

At the moment there is no support for AU plugins in QLab.
